ISLAM- A COMPLETE WAY OF LIFE!Different people saw the life of HUMAN BEINGS from different angles and from different ways based on their own perception and understandings. People like Charles Darwin, Sigmund Freud, Hegel and Karl Marx viewed man from various angles. In their search for understanding human nature, some concentrated on the body and its form and shape. So they came to certain conclusions which were body-centered. Some viewed man from the occupation he once followed, and thought of him as an animal subjected for evolution. The thought of some other thinkers fell on human belly and they related everything with it. They found it most important and decided that hunger was the cause of all problems. They thought that once this problem is solved, everything would be alright.
Those who viewed man and life through sexuality believed it to be the most important thing and whatever they knew, saw and heard was related to it. They declared that the whole human activity is sex centered and if the restrictions imposed on sex were removed everything would be all right. Some others gave undue importance to spirituality and disregarded the body and its needs. So the people who tried to understand man in the absence of divine revelations were like the proverbial blind men, who tried to understand the elephant in their own partial ways. They arrived at certain conclusions which were imperfect and full of errors. [1]
The word IslamThe word "Islam" is an Arabic word which means peace acquired by submitting one’s will to the will of Allah (Glory be to Him). This means to act on what Allah (Glory be to Him) commands all of us to do (In the Quran) and what His beloved Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) demonstrated through his Sunnah (His Lifestyle and His Sayings) as per the understanding and practice of His Sahaba (Companions of Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace).
The manufacturer knows best about the product he manufactures. To give an example, vehicles work best with the oil, spare parts etc recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. Even if it is a simple thing like air pressure of the wheels, we follow what the manufacturer says. One might ask why? It is our vehicle. We own it and we use it. Why not use it the way we want? Why not change the air pressure of the wheel depending on our mood that day?
Our creator, Allah (Glory be to Him), knows exactly what is good for us and has prescribed a way of life which was taught to us by the Messengers of Allah (May Allah honour Him and and grant Him peace) the scriptures revealed by Him. Going away from the guidance of the God, would lead to chaos and destruction.
Since Islam was revealed from our creator, Allah (Glory be to Him)the Almighty, it is a complete way of life and therefore addresses all the aspects of human life. And He named the way of life as ISLAM.
Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah (Glory be to Him) is Islam. Qur’an.Surah Al’e Imran 3:19
Islam is a religion Islam is a religion, but not in the western meaning of religion. The western connotation of the term "religion" is something between the believer and God. Islam is a religion that organizes all aspects of life on both the individual and national levels. Islam organizes your relations Islam organizes your relations with God, with yourself, with your children, with your relatives, with your neighbor, with your guest, and with other brethren. Islam clearly establishes your duties and rights in all those relationships. Islam establishes a clear system Islam establishes a clear system of worship, civil rights, laws of marriage and divorce, laws of inheritance, code of behavior, what not to drink, what to wear, and what not to wear, how to worship God, how to govern, the laws of war and peace, when to go to war, when to make peace, the law of economics, and the laws of buying and selling. Islam is a complete code of life. Islam is the practical religionIslam is not practiced in the masjid only, it is for daily life, a guide to life in all its aspects: socially, economically and politically etc.
Islam is complete constitutionIslam is complete constitution because it is defined by the creator Allah (Glory be to Him). Thus Islam keeps the Muslim away from confusion, because Islam is logical and rational. Islam organizes human nature, but does not go against it. There is not a class of clergy in Islam; nor is there celibacy. Islam is complete way of human life. [2]
