RESPONSE TO THE MOVIE “INNOCENCE OF MUSLIMS”

An amateurish short film “Innocence of Muslims” is an anti-Islamic video, reported to have been written and produced by Nakoula Basseley Nakoula. It was made with the clear intention of ridiculing Islam and hurting Muslims by insulting Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) resulted in a wide spread protests across the Muslim world. The filmmaker is reportedly named as Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, who initially used the false name ‘Sam Bacile’. Nakoula has a prior criminal record and was arrested in Los Angeles on 27 September 2012 for violating his terms of probation.

The video was first uploaded on YouTube in July 2012. At first nobody knew about this unpleasant “experimental film”. It was shown to less than ten people in a rented theatre in Hollywood, California. The film was turned into an “experiment” of sorts, when anti-Islam content was added in the post-production through overdubbing. Later in September 2012, it was translated into Arabic by an Egyptian Coptic Christian, Morris Sadek, who was instrumental in spreading it. An Egyptian Islamist television channel made a blunder when it showed part of the video on September 9, 2102. Consequently, riots against the repugnant content of the film broke out in Egypt and Libya. Two days later on September 11, 2012 the entire Muslim World reacted by anger on its blasphemous content.

YouTube refused to take off the film’s 14-minute trailer saying that it is within their policy guidelines. Strangely, YouTube said that the video is not against Muslims, but against Islam and thus it will not be considered ‘hate speech’. YouTube’s owners are mixing criticism with mockery. As a result, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sudan blocked YouTube in its entirety and will not unblock it until the viral film is removed.

The U.S. is engaged in strategic dialogues with many of the Muslim countries currently and such uncontrollable material being released in the U.S. does not help foster relations and understanding that the U.S. hopes to receive from Muslims.

Media, both at home and abroad, shows misrepresentation of Islam to be the voice of the entire Muslim world. The moderate voices of the majority are ignored. The media is responsible for giving excessive coverage to these Muslims. Since when has it become standard and reasonable to focus on narrow-minded views of the few over moderate approach of the majority. The western media is completely wrong in calling these protests anti-West or even against the freedom of expression.

1. Key notes on the Movie

Where and when was the movie shot?

The fuller version had a showing in a small Los Angeles cinema, the Vine Theatre, in June, where its title was The Innocence of Bin Laden

It was clearly put together on a budget, with a cheaply made set, amateur actors and poor production standards. It was shot over five days at a California film studio in August last year, with a cast of around 50, together with a large production crew.

The 14-minute video was first posted on YouTube on 1 July 2012 without attracting much attention. It was later picked up by various Arab TV stations, with religious Egyptian TV channel al-Nas' presenter Sheikh Khalad Abdalla broadcasting scenes on 8 September, 2012. A clip from his show, dubbed into Arabic, was posted online and within days had been viewed by hundreds of thousands of people.[1]

1.2  Who is Nakoula Basseley Nakoula?

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, an Egyptian-born Coptic Christian living in California, as the man who made the film. He was convicted in 2010 for orchestrating a scheme to defraud Wells Fargo bank — and sentenced to 21 months in prison.

The fraudster-turned-filmmaker behind the anti-Islam movie that sparked violent protests across the Muslim world was arrested for violating his probation.[1]

1.3  Charges against Nakoula

Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Dugdale pointed to a probation report citing eight allegations in which Nakoula had allegedly violated his probation. He has a criminal history that includes bank fraud by using false identities and a drug conviction. He was questioned this month by US authorities investigating whether he violated terms of his parole. On September 27, 2012, US federal authorities stated Nakoula was arrested in Los Angeles for suspicion of violating terms of his probation.[3]

1.4  Characters in the movie and their reactions

Meanwhile, a number of actors and workers on the film have come forward to say they were tricked. They say they were hired for a film titled “Desert Warrior”and there was no mention of Islam or Muhammad in the script. Those references were dubbed in after filming was completed.[4]

A member of the production staff who worked directly on the film and has a copy of the original script corroborated the actor's account, adding that it mentions neither Muhammad nor Islam.

1.5  Cases filed by the movie Actress

Actress Cindy Lee Garcia has sued to get the trailer taken down, saying she was duped actress sues filmmaker, YouTube in federal court.

She claims the movie was supposed to be an innocuous "adventure" film called "Desert Warrior" and never mentioned the Prophet Muhammad in her version of the 2011 script.[5]

2. Top 10 Reasons Why the Movie "Innocence of Muslims" Must Be Condemned

Below are the few reasons that why the Movie "Innocence of Muslims" Must be condemned by staying in within the parameters of Islamic Law. These reasons will clearly highlight the intention of the movie makers which is to misguide and spread misinformation about the religion Islam and its followers i.e., Muslims.

2.1  No Sense of the Film

This lewd movie "Innocence of Muslims" starts with a man trying to seduce a woman and is NauzBillah (May Allah forbid) symbolized as Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace).

This is a clear attempt to malign the Great Prophet of Allah and to hurt the sentiments of the Muslim world.  This movie does not make any sense or have any positive contribution to the society but is just aimed to create hatred, chaos and disturb the peace in the society by provoking the Innocent Muslims.

2.2  No Authenticity

The movie runs around a baseless, fabricated and concocted story. There is absolutely no proof recorded by Muslims or even Non Muslims of such an evil act.

This can never be proven from the authentic sources of Islam. Infact it is a challenge which can never be overcome by anyone forever. So it understood clearly that it is a clear attempt to simply malign the Prophet. The authenticity of the movie has failed making it completely false and provoking. This proves that the makers of this movie are completely ignorant of the biography of Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) and have clearly intended to spread mischief.

2.3  Nothing but Character Assassination

The movie makers attempted for Character Assassination of the Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace). In reality according to media the film makers have huge criminal accounts and involved in many illegal activities. If one starts counting their shady facts innumerable insights can be revealed, but we are not going to discuss this aspect because we are the followers of Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) who was such a great prophet that he not only taught but also demonstrated mankind to forgive the enemy when in power. For Example, when the city of Makkah in Saudi Arabia was conquered and all the enemies of Islam and Muslims were forgiven at that time. Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) and Muslims had the best chance to take full revenge and no one could have stopped Him but they left their enemies with peace.

The movie alleges Him to be a womanizer, pedophile and gay but we find that He got married at the age of 25 to a woman who was 15 years elder to Him, when He was at the prime of His youth. He married for the next time only after the age of 53 years. Allah allowed him 13 wives and only one wife was a virgin and their marriage was consummated only after she reached her puberty. Thus evil allegations of pedophilia or womanizer are evidence less and baseless. Muslims treat the women in the most respectful manner as taught by Prophet Himself and any kind of illicit or illegal relations are not at all tolerated.

Are these movie makers more pious and upright than even a common Muslim?

2.4      Ignorance of the Film Makers

The Film makers are either totally unaware of the great personality of Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) or they were misinformed by the enemies of Islam and Muslims. If they come to know the life of the true Prophet then they would civilize themselves like many criminals and disbelievers who became peacemakers after understanding the true  wisdom and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace). An unlettered man achieved great results and changed the people and society for ever around Him in a very short span of time.

Are these film makers blind about the historical facts?

2.5      Records of Eminent Non-Muslims and Sources

Many Eminent Non-Muslims and sources have confirmed the greatness and humbleness of Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace). They confirmed that He was an upright and honest man. The views of a few Eminent Non-Muslims are attached in the same article.

Do these movie makers have a better stature and recognition than the Eminent Non-Muslims quoted?

2.6  Accurate Prophecies of future by Prophet

Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) gave several prophecies i.e. predictions of the future with Allah's help. Not one but numerous prophecies were given and all of them proved to be correct. For example the prophecy mentioned in Surah Rum. Had any of the prophecies failed; the people of those times could have exploited this and would have made it evidence against His Prophethood. Just imagine, Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) with the help of Allah Subhanawatala is narrating about the future, the unseen and that is proving true accurately without a single mistake and these film makers are trying to compete, blaspheme and degrade such a great prophet who has proven his accuracy even in his prophecies. Whereas, these film makers have failed in producing accurately the past when the world knows that there are no shortcomings in the preservation of the history of Islam.Even the words and biography of Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) has been preserved with accuracy and record unmatched with any other man on earth till date.

Even the eminent Non-Muslims like Michael H. Hart in his famous book by the name The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History, printed in 1978, gives the first rank to Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace). Hart asserted that Prophet Muhammad was "supremely successful" in both the religious and secular realms.

Aren’t these movie makers liars?

2.7  Moral Grounds

Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) was an unlettered prophet who did not know how to read and write but whatever he said of his words with Allah's help and the Qur’an that was revealed to Him are perfect and errorless whatever may be the human criteria like Religiously, Scientifically, Logically, Morally, Justly, Sensibly, Historically, Statistically, Academically, Philosophically etc. This movie is full of errors historically, logically, sensibly, morally and with complete absence of accuracy and proofs. It just portrays the inner character of the movie makers.  The movie is against the moral fabric of the Muslim society and is totally opposite to the teachings and practice of the Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace). Just imagine the moral level of the movie makers.

Can the movie be accepted on Moral Grounds?

2.8  Prophet praised by His worst enemies

History is full of various instances and events where even the worst enemies praised Prophet’s Truthfulness and Trustworthiness. Prophet’s life was like an open book, He was constantly watched and monitored by His enemies all the time so that they could find atleast one instance to disprove Him. They used to say “O Muhammad, we cannot call you a liar” but we choose to reject the revelation you receive. Many who did not believe in his Prophethood still continued to keep their precious belongings as trusts with the Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace). There is no record in history about a man who was not only praised by his followers but also by His enemies. This is the shining glory of the last Prophet sent by Allah not only for us Muslims but for the entire Mankind.

Did these movie makers keep a close watch on Prophet in His life time than the people around Him?

2.9  Prophet in the Religious Scriptures of the movie makers

On an analysis of the film makers, they are found to be Jews and Christians and we find Prophecies and praises for Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) in their own scriptures. This shows that the film makers neither regard their own religion and scriptures nor do they regard unity, humanity, truth and justice. An atheist who understands the meaning of the above words would try not to hurt the sentiments of a Religious group by spreading chaos and mischief. This cannot be the handiwork of humans but it is indeed the handiwork of Satan. Those who dared to make this film should be aware of the creator Allah and fear the day they shall be brought to account in front of Allah.

The Qur’an mentions in Surah Araf 7, ayath 157: "Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures) in the law and the Gospel".

Let us analyze their scriptures now:

Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) mentioned in the Old Testament of the Bible:

Almighty God speaks to Moses in Book of Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18:

"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and I will put my words in his mouth; and     he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."

The Christians say that this prophecy refers to Jesus (Peace be upon Him) because Jesus (Peace be upon Him) was like Moses (Peace be upon Him). Moses (Peace be upon Him) was a Jew, as well as Jesus (Peace be upon Him) was a Jew according to them which they can never prove. Moses (Peace be upon Him) was a Prophet and Jesus (Peace be upon Him) was also a Prophet.

If these two are the only criteria for this prophecy to be fulfilled, then all the Prophets of the Bible who came after Moses (Peace be upon Him) such as Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Malachi, John the Baptist, etc. (Peace be upon Them) will fulfill this prophecy since all were Jews as well as prophets.

However, it is Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) who is like Moses (Peace be upon Him), below are the reasons:

i) Both had a father and a mother, while Jesus (Peace be upon Him) was born miraculously without any male intervention. [Mathew 1:18 and Luke 1:35 and also Qur'an.surah A’le Imran 3:42-47]

ii) Both were married and had children. Jesus (Peace be upon Him) according to the Bible did not marry nor had children.

iii) Both died natural deaths. Jesus (Peace be upon Him) has been raised up alive. (Hebrew 5:7-8 and Qur’an.Surah Nisa 4:157-158)

Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) is from among the brethren of Moses (Peace be upon Him). Arabs are brethren of Jews. Prophet Ibraham (Peace be upon Him) had two sons: Ishmail and Isaaq (Peace be upon Them). The Arabs are the descendants of Ishmail (Peace be upon Him) and the Jews are the descendants of Isaac (Peace be upon Him).

Words in the mouth:

Prophet Muhammad was unlettered and whatever revelations he received from Almighty God he repeated them verbatim.

"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." [Deuteronomy 18:18]

iv) Both besides being Prophets were also kings i.e. they could inflict capital punishment. Jesus (Peace be upon Him) said,     "My kingdom is not of this world." (Gospel according to John 18:36)

v) Both were accepted as Prophets by their people in their lifetime but Jesus (Peace be upon Him) was rejected by his people. John chapter 1 verse 11 states, "He came unto his own, but his own received him not."

iv) Both brought new laws and new regulations for their people. Jesus (Peace be upon Him) according to the Bible did not bring   any new laws. (Mathew 5:17-18)

2. It is Mentioned in the book of Deuteronomy chapter 18:19

"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not harken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him."

3. Muhammad is prophesized in the book of Isaiah:

It is mentioned in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12:

"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned."

When Archangel Gabrail commanded Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace)by saying Iqra - "Read", he replied, "I am not learned".

4. Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) mentioned by name in the old testament:

Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) is mentioned by name in the Song of Solomon chapter 5 verse 16:

"Hikko Mamittakim we kullo MuhammadimZehdoodeh wa Zehraee Bayna Jerusalem."

"His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem."

In the Hebrew language ‘Im’is added for respect. Similarely Imis added after the name of Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) to make it Muhammadim. In English translation they have even translated the name of Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) as "altogether lovely" (It’s a Proper Name, you can’t change it but they changed), but in the Old Testament in Hebrew, the name of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) is yet present.

Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) in the New Testament:

Qur'an.Surah Saff 61 ayath 6:"And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said, 'O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which came) before me and giving glad tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed.' But when he came to them with clear signs, they said, 'This is evident sorcery!' "

All the prophecies mentioned in the Old Testament regarding Muhammad (Peace be upon Him) besides applying to the Jews also hold good for the Christians.

Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) mentioned in the New Testament of the Bible:

1. John chapter 14 verse 16:

"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever."

2. Gospel of John chapter 15 verse 26:

"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me."

3. Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 7:

"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you".

"Ahmed" or "Muhammad" meaning "the one who praises" or "the praised one" is almost the translation of the Greek word Periclytos. In the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26, and 16:7. The word 'Comforter' is used in the English translation for the Greek word Paracletos which means advocate or a kind friend rather than a comforter.

Paracletos is the warped reading for Periclytos. Jesus (Peace be upon Him) actually prophesised Ahmed by name. Even the Greek word Paraclete refers to the Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) who is a mercy for all creatures.

Some Christians say that the Comforter mentioned in these prophecies refers to the Holy Sprit. They fail to realize that the prophecy clearly says that only if Jesus (Peace be upon Him) departs will the Comforter come. The Bible states that the Holy Spirit was already present on earth before and during the time of Jesus (Peace be upon Him), in the womb of Elizabeth, and    again when Jesus (Peace be upon Him) was being baptised, etc. Hence this prophecy refers to none other than Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace).

4. Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 12-14:

"I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he     speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me".

The Sprit of Truth, spoken about in this prophecy refers to none other than Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace).

THAT PROPHET – PARACLETE – MUHAMMAD

Up to the time of Jesus, the Israelites were still awaiting for that prophet like unto Moses prophesied in Deuteronomy 18:18. when John the Baptist came, they asked him if he was Christ and he said “No”. they asked him if he was Elias and he said “No”. then, in apparent reference to Deuteronomy 18:18, they asked him “Art thou that Prophet” and he answered, “No”. (John 1:19-21)

In the Gospel according to John (Chapters 14, 15, 16) Jesus spoke of the “ Paraclete” or comforter who will come after him, who will be sent by Father as another Paraclete, who will teach new things which the contemporaries of Jesus could not bear. While the Paraclete is described as the spirit of truth (whose meaning resemble Muhammad’s famous title Al-Amin, the trustworthy), he is identified in one verse as the Holy Ghost (John 14:26). Such a designation is however inconsistent with the profile of that Paraclete. In the words of the Dictionary of the Bible, (Ed. J. Mackenzie) “ These items, it must be admitted do not give an entirely coherent picture.”

Indeed history tells us that many early Christians understood the Paraclete to be a man and not a spirit. This might explain the followings who responded to some who claimed, without meeting the criteria stipulated by Jesus, to be the awaited “Paraclete”.

It was Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) who was the Paraclete, Comforter, helper, admonisher sent by God after Jesus. He testified of Jesus, taught new things which could not be borne at Jesus’ time, he spoke what he heard (revelation), he dwells with the believers (through his well-preserved teachings). Such teachings will remain forever because he was the last messenger of God, the only Universal Messenger to unite the whole of humanity under God and on the path of PRESERVED truth. He told of many things to come which “came to pass” in the minutest detail meeting, the criterion given by Moses to distinguish between the true prophet and the false prophets (Deuteronomy 18:22). He did reprove the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment (John 16:8-11)

Are these movie makers rejecting their own Scriptures, which they claim to be divine?

2.10  Mission and Simplicity of Prophet

Islamic civilization has been the greatest civilizations of the world.  Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) was victorious in his Mission and had all the power and might of a King, yet he chose to remain humble, leading a simple life being an eminent, powerful and undisputed leader. He could have had all his desires fulfilled yet he chose the hereafter above the glitter of this world for there is no instance of misuse of power in his leadership. The movie shows Prophet as a greedy person hunger for Wealth, Power and Women which is the most absurd lie against Him.

Is it not the Mission of these movie makers to destroy the peace on Earth?

George Bernard Shaw

K.S. Ramakrishna Rao

An Indian (Hindu) professor of Philosophy calls him the "Perfect model for human life." Professor Ramakrishna Rao explains his point by saying: "The personality of Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace), it is most difficult to get into the whole truth of it. Only a glimpse of it I can catch. What a dramatic succession of picturesque scenes. There is Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) the Prophet.

Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) the Warrior;

Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) the Businessman;

Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) the Statesman;

Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) the Orator;

Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) the Reformer;

Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) the Refuge of Orphans;

Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) the Protector of Slaves;

Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) the Emancipator of Women;

Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace) the Judge;

Mahatma Gandhi

Speaking on the character of Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace), says in 'YOUNG INDIA' Mahatma Gandhi said: "I wanted to know the best of one who holds today undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind...

I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life.

It was the rigid simplicity,

The utter self-effacement of the Prophet,

The scrupulous regard for his pledges,

His intense devotion to his friends and followers,

His intrepidity,

His fearlessness,

His absolute trust in God and in His own Mission.

These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the 2nd volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of the great life." ('YOUNG INDIA' 1924)

Thomas Carlyle

Says I was simply amazed as to: "How one man single handedly, could weld warring tribes and wandering Bedouins into a most powerful and civilized nation in less than two decades." (Thomas Carlyle in 'Heroes and Hero Worship’)

Sarojini Naidu

Says: "It was the first religion that preached and practiced democracy; for in the mosque, when the call for prayer is sounded and worshippers are gathered together, the democracy of Islam is embodied five times a day when the peasant and king kneel side by side and proclaim: 'God Alone is Great'... I have been struck over and over again by this indivisible Unity of Islam that makes man instinctively a brother. (S. Naidu, Ideals of Islam, vide Speeches & Writings, Madras, 1918, p. 169).[6]

6. Muslim scholars response to the movie “Innocence of Muslims”

Saudi Grand Mufti slams anti-Islam film, calls attacks on foreign embassies un-Islamic

Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti, the highest religious authority in the birthplace of Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace), on Saturday denounced attacks on diplomats and embassies as un-Islamic after deadly protests against a U.S.-made film mocking Prophet Muhammad (May Allah honour Him and grant Him Peace).

Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al al-Sheikh also called on governments and international bodies to criminalize insults against prophets and excoriated the film that has prompted a wave of fury across the Middle East.

“It is forbidden to punish the innocent for the wicked crimes of the guilty, or to attack those who have been granted protection of their lives and property, or to expose public buildings to fire or destruction,” he said in a speech carried by state news agency SPA.

At the same time, he called on the international community to take steps to criminalize any act of abusing great prophets and messengers such as Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (Peace be upon them All)

http://www.arabnews.com/saudi-arabia/grand-mufti-denounces-violence-against-embassies

Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan [Hafidhahullah]

”Our advice regarding that is to have comportment and not to show disapproval in this manner; demonstrations or harming innocent people, and wasting wealth, this is not permissible. Those who must respond to this are the scholars, not the common folk. The scholars respond to these affairs. They want to cause chaos amongst us and they wish to affect us; this is what they want. They want us to fight one another. The soldiers withhold while these people attack; and there occurs beating, killing, and injury. This is what they want. Calm down, calm down. Those who are responsible for responding are the people of knowledge and insight. Or they could choose not to respond to them and resolve not to respond. The pagans used to call the Messenger a magician, a soothsayer, a liar etc. and Allah commanded him to have patience. They did not protest in Makkah nor did they destroy any of the homes of the pagans nor did they kill anyone. Patience and comportment until Allah the Glorified and High facilitates a way for the Muslims.

That which is obligatory is to have comportment; especially in these times and in these tribulations and within this evil today which is going on within the lands of the Muslims.  It is obligatory to have comportment and not rush into these affairs; and the commoners are not fit to deal with this, for the ignorant do not know. None should deal with this except the people of knowledge and insight.” ,

7. Conclusion (How to handle such situation in the light of Islam)

The best way to answer any critics of Islam in today’s age is by educating them in the right perspective. Allah says in Qur’an Surah Nahl 16:125: “Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best..”the Arabic word used for ARGUE is JADIL which is to do Jidal. Jidal means to answer in the same manner in which your enemy or opponent comes with an attack or argument. But you have to reply by staying within the parameters of Islamic Shariah (Islamic Law).

Islam is the religion from the Creator and it is always protected through different means and sources by Him i.e., Allah (Glory be to Him) whenever such heinous allegations or attacks are made against Islam.
